about

Known as the “Tea Set” for obvious reasons. The Round Tea Bag was written as a tribute to the work of Frederick Biggs, grandfather of top melodeon player Mel Biggs, and inventor of the round teabag during his employment with Lyons Tetley. Steve set himself the challenge of writing a 48 bar jig to go with Tom's tune and it just so happens that the first time it was tried out was in the Tea Chest cafe in Buxton. He now realises (too late) that it is a slightly tricky tune to play on the concertina.
